The Application Process

Vendors interested in applying to the Sioux City Farmers Market must apply online. Applications will not be accepted by mail or email.

The application process opens each market year on the last Sunday of January. Full-Season Vendor membership applications must be submitted no later than the first Sunday in March. Daily Vendor applications will be accepted throughout the season, but will be approved at the Market Manager's discretion based on market needs.

Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Previous-year vendors will have two weeks from the application opening date to apply and receive priority consideration within their product category.

Steps to Apply

  1. Complete the Online Application

    Visit the application page to complete the form. Ensure all required fields are filled out, including product descriptions, certifications (if applicable), and preferred market dates.

  2. Application Review

    The Market Manager will review all applications to ensure alignment with market guidelines and the overall balance of vendor categories.

  3. Acceptance Notification

    Approved vendors will receive an acceptance email with the next steps and any requests for additional information.

  4. Submit Payment

    Vendors must pay their membership fees in full within seven (7) days of receiving the acceptance email. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the Market Manager may proceed to review other applications in the same category.

Important Notes

  • Returning Vendors: Submitting your application early ensures priority consideration within your product category.

  • Daily Vendors: Participation is subject to availability and market needs. Approval will be communicated directly by the Market Manager.

  • Plan Accordingly: Vendors are strongly encouraged not to make any investments, purchases, or plans related to the market until their application has been approved and payment has been received. Additionally, the Sioux City Farmers Market is not responsible for any costs incurred by vendors before, during, or after the approval process, including costs associated with market participation.
